Daniel Lynn Thompson

Daniel Lynn Thompson, 55, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2022, at his home in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born on April 13, 1966 to the late Nellie Elizabeth Thompson in Louisville, Kentucky. Danny was a great father and son. He loved his family deeply, especially his 2 daughters and his mother. Danny had an outgoing and funny personality, and would always try to make you smile if you were having a bad day. He was very social and loved gathering for Derby and other occasions. In his spare time, Danny could be found cheering on his UK Wildcats, tinkering around with cars and tools, fishing, or caring for his favorite dogs, Snickers, Alley, Jack and Bitty. He was a great family man and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his mother, Nellie Elizabeth Thompson Deaux, Danny is preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Sheila Holmes; and his first furry companion, Cocoa.

Left to cherish his memory, Danny leaves behind 2 daughters, Danyelle Thompson (Ricky Whitehouse) and Jennifer Thompson (Cody Dabney); sister, Patricia Thompson Hall; and a host of extended family and close friends.

A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Daniel Lynn Thompson will be held at 4 PM on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at Legacy Funeral Center-Nunnelley Chapel, 4327 Taylor Blvd., Louisville, Kentucky. A memorial gathering will be held prior to the service from 12 PM to 4 PM, at the funeral home.
