Daniel Wade Case, aka (Bubby) (Danny) was born January 20, 1950 to the late Harold Case and Mary Cross. Bubby was born in Louisville, Ky and lived in the Portland, Ky area his whole life.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife Betty Wright Case who he married in 1971.
Bubby is survived by his only child Sandra Jean Case (BJ) his 2 grandchildren Kelsey Danielle Fergus (Payton) and Kyle Dillan Case (Kayla) who were his world from the day they were born. In 2024 he was blessed with his first Great Grandchild Karson Dillan Case who would brighten his day every time he saw him. In September of this year he would have had his 2nd Great Grandson…….
Bubby retired from the City of Louisville as a grounds keeper for Cherokee Golf Course. Although he took early retirement he always had his hands in something. He loved to collect things, help anyone out that had a project they needed help with, but most of all he loved to help his family. Bubby was one of the hardest workers you would ever meet. He was a jack of all trades…He would stop whatever he was doing to help his family/friends in any way he could.
He was blessed with many friends over the years. Special thanks to his long time friend/family/neighbors Lonnie and Maureen Goodman for always being there for him to help in any way we needed. His bonus Nephew LD Goodman. His favorite Chef/Neighbor Teresa Smith who always made sure he had a good meal or anything he needed. He will be dearly missed by his dog Max who has always been by his side..
Along with his parents and wife Bubby is preceded in death by his in-laws Elmer and Louise Wright, step-father Charles Wilson, his 2 brothers Harold and Eddie Case, 3 Sisters Martha, Edna, and Dolly.
He is survived by his Sister Shirley Collins and special nephew Ronald Meredith along with many more family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home - Now Legacy at 1832 West Market Street. Visitation will be 1-8pm on Friday March 28th and 10-12 on Saturday March 29th with burial in the Portland Cemetery. The family has requested that anyone who would like to ride their hotrods in Bubby's memory please do.
