Dana Michael Reese

Dana Michael (Mike) Reese, 65, of New Albany, IN, passed away peacefully at his home, due to complications from cancer.  He was born in Akron, OH, July 24, 1958, son of Edward and Jolean (Ellis) Reese (both deceased).

Mike retired after several dedicated years as a medical transcriptionst for Keystrokes, Inc.

In retirement, as well as after, he found solace and joy in his passion for music and writing.  (He had a degree in Journalism.)  Mike's creativity and love for expression in writing shone brightly.  And he loved everything Beatles, their music, lives and stories.

Mike wanted to be close to his family and enjoyed special times with them.  Although engaged with the world, his pleasure was "simply life".

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his younger sister, Stacy Leigh Cleveland.  Mike is survived by two older sisters, Chris Sturgil (Steve), Shelly Smith (John); along with nieces and nephews, Jamie McMillan (Dave), Brandi Fuentes (Marco), Cheyenne McGlothin (Nathan), Ellie Cleveland, Shaun Perciful (Jen), and David Collins.

Cremation was chosen and entrusted with Legacy Funeral Center.  His family is planning to have a "Celebration of Life" gathering within the next two months, location to be determined.
