Cynthia Burgin Obituary

Cynthia “Cindy” L. Burgin, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 9, 2026. Cindy was a devoted mother, proud grandmother, cherished great-grandmother, sister, and friend.

Cindy found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved playing bingo, spending time with her animals, and most of all, being with her grandchildren, who were truly the light of her life. She had a special way of making everyone feel cared for and welcomed, not only to her family, but also to her grandchildren’s friends, who lovingly knew her as “Nana.” Above all, Cindy was kind and patient, always making sure the people she loved were safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Her gentle strength, steady presence, and unconditional love created a foundation for her family that will live on for generations.

Cindy was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Terry; her sister, Debra Priestley; her sister-in-law, Jan Terry; and her cherished furry companions, Jasper and Bob, who held special places in her heart.

She is survived by her son, Andy Burgin (Melinda); daughter, Angela Tetrick; and daughter/caregiver Michelle Elmore (Jon). She was a proud and devoted Nana to her grandchildren, Destyne Webb (Tyler), Kyle Schultz (Emily), Abbi Burgin, Dylan Tetrick, and Jacob Burgin, and a cherished great-grandmother to Adilynn Marie, Aspen Faith, and Aubree Shea. She also leaves behind her beloved sister, Donna Gibson. Along with her beloved furry companion, Lilly, who brought her daily comfort and companionship.

She will be remembered for her strength and the love she gave so freely. Her presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved her.

“A grandmother’s love is forever, steady, gentle, and always guiding us home.”

Cindy’s love will remain in the hearts of her family always, carried forward in every memory, every story, and every moment shared.
