Crystal Nicole Jones

Crystal Nicole Jones, 39, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at the University of Louisville Hospital on Sunday, May 11th.  Born on June 27, 1985, in Louisville, Crystal was the cherished daughter of Bernetta and David Thomas.

Crystal dedicated many years of her life to caregiving as a nursing aide, where her compassion and nurturing spirit shone through in every life she touched. Her warm heart, and unwavering commitment to caring for others made her feel purposeful.

A lifelong resident of Louisville, with childhood roots in New Albany, IN.  Crystal gave her life to Christ at an early age and was member at the Frankfort Avenue Church of Christ.

Crystal loved to cook and eat and her niece Julianna loved feed her.  Crystal and her aunt Lassie shared a special bond. She was also known for her vibrant personality and the joy she brought to every gathering. She had a playful side, loved to share the latest celebrity news and home remedies with her mom. Her unique sense of humor and flair for fashion, earned her the reputation of a true fashion diva.  Crystal loved and is loved unconditionally.  

Tymaine, Crystal's significant other of 13 years remained by her side through years of illness and was a Godsend for her and the family carrying the tremendous weight of being her soulmate through so much pain.

Crystal was the proud parent of many beloved pit bulls of which her favorites are Xena and Cash, whose companionship brought her immense happiness and added an extra layer of warmth to her life. Whether caring for others, nurturing family bonds, or simply living life with an irrepressible spirit, Crystal’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and service to others.

Crystal was preceded in death by her grandparents (Benny & Willa LaRue/David Thomas Snr. & Cylister Boyd, Clara Jones and biological father, Charles Jones; Siblings Frank “Bop” and David Ray.  Crystal is survived by her parents, Bernetta and David Thomas; her “Daddy-(David Thomas)” gifted her with the art of boisterous robust communication. 12 siblings; Dana L, Chanasha, Dawnita, Barbara, Damita, David III, Dominick, Mary Ann, Regina, Felicia, Raven,  Faith; along with a blessed number of Aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.  

Her siblings will remember her most for her childhood unique ability to annoy them to no end.  LOL

Crystal was an Angel on loan to teach me (her mom) humility, sacrifice and God's unwavering love.

There will be a visitation on Saturday, May 17, 2025 from 11-1pm with service to follow at Northside Church of Christ, 2510 E. 10th St. Jeffersonville, IN 47130
