Connison Easton Howard, 81, of Elsmere, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, November 18, 2024. Born on August 4, 1943, in Wallins Creek, Kentucky, he was the cherished son of Thomas and Laura Howard.
Connison retired from LG&E after 40 years of dedicated service and was a proud United States Army veteran, Connison served his country with honor and dedication. Beyond his military service, he embraced life with a passion for the great outdoors. Whether fishing, hunting, or camping under the stars, Connison found joy and serenity in nature’s beauty. He also loved playing cards and treasured the time spent with his beloved family.
Connison’s warm heart, adventurous spirit, and love for those closest to him will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
A celebration of Connison’s life will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024 at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130 from 4-8pm. Service will be conducted on Saturday. December 7, 2024 at 12pm with more visitation from 10-12pm. Burial with military honors will follow at Walnut Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
In addition to his parents, Connison was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 43 years since 1967, Carolyn L. Howard; step son, Jamie A. Howard; granddaughter, Shannon R. Howard; brothers, Alvin Howard(Ann), Finley Howard(Imogene), Arnold Howard(Lyl), Claude Howard(Wilma), Raymond Howard, Danny Howard(Patricia), B. Clayton Howard(Patricia); sisters, Laura Howard, Rita Hubbard(Jim).
He is survived by his daughters, Sena R. Farrell(Jody); step daughter, Cathie E. Howard; grandchild, Larry J. Coakley(Kristen); 3 great grandchildren, Cody W. Bryant, Hunter J. Coakley, Remington C. Coakley and great-great grandchild, Bexley R. Bryant.
