Cody Lee Blavat, 40, of Memphis , Indiana passed away on June 28, 2024 at his home. He was born on March 28, 1984 in Louisville, Kentucky, son of Bernard and Cynthia (Rider) Blavat.
Cody was born with a mechanical mind, a natural talent for working with machinery, and was the poster child for the motto, “all gas, and no brakes”! This was most evident in his passion for motorcycles, collection of speeding tickets, and taking apart every electronic device possible!
He also had a wild and adventurous spirt, always eager to explore the great outdoors, race down the back country roads, or go on hunting trips with friends and family.
Cody was also one to make you laugh, could light up any room with his smile, and you could hear him from a mile away! He had a big heart, and a profound love for all his friends, family, his dog, Cash, and most deeply, his children.
Cody’s adventurous spirit, warm heart and goofy antics will be missed beyond measure. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, friendship, and fond memories. May he rest in peace.
In addition to his parents, Cody was preceded in death by his grandparents, Aunt Jeane, and his beloved dog, Cash. He is survived by his daughter, Brooklyn Blavat; sons, Seth and Chase Clements; sister, Cheyenne Blavat; brother, Eric Rider(Lisa); cousin, T.J., “who was like a brother”; along with his aunt & uncle, cousins and many friends, coworkers, and step children.
There will be a visitation held on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 from 2-7pm with a service starting at 5:30pm at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana.
