Cheryl Grace Robinson, 77, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024, in Louisville, KY. Born on September 26, 1946, to Robert and Muriel Barton in Providence, RI, Cheryl's life was a testament to love, kindness, and quiet strength. A devoted family woman, Cheryl's unwavering love and dedication to her family were the cornerstone of her life. Her warm and nurturing nature made her a pillar of support for her loved ones, always ready with a helping hand and a kind word. Cheryl's strength and independence were evident in her every action, yet she carried herself with a gentle humility, never seeking recognition or praise.
An avid lover of nature, Cheryl found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. She cherished moments spent fishing with her late husband, Lucas, and treasured outings to the lake with her grandson James and the rest of her family. Her favorite pastime was fishing, finding peace and contentment in the tranquility of the water. Her legacy of love and selflessness will live on in the hearts of those she touched, forever remembered and deeply missed.
Cheryl is preceded in death by her loving husband of over 40 years, William Lucas Robinson; parents, Robert Barton, and Muriel Weeks Barton; and a brother, Robert F. Barton.
Left to cherish her memory, Cheryl is survived by 2 sons, William "Dewey" Robinson (Elaine), and Randy Robinson; granddaughter, Cheryl Nicholl Robinson; great-grandson, James Robinson; beloved poodle, Lucy; and a host of extended family and close friends.
A funeral service for Mrs. Cheryl Robinson will be held at 7 PM on Friday, June 7, 2024, at Legacy Funeral Center - Nunnelley Chapel, 4327 Taylor Blvd., Louisville, KY. Visitation will be held from 3 PM to 7 PM, at the funeral home, prior to the service.
