Brittny Lacianne Pace, age 28 of Charlestown, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2026, leaving behind a world that feels a little quieter without her voice—but forever brighter because of the joy she shared.
A graduate of Charlestown High School, Brittny lived her life to a soundtrack all her own. Her love for music knew no bounds—you could find her belting out songs by Juice WRLD, Olivia Rodrigo, Camila Cabello, and countless others, never holding back and never caring who was listening. To Brittny, music wasn’t just something to hear—it was something to feel, to share, and to celebrate. She had a gift for turning any moment into a dance party, pulling others in with her infectious energy until everyone was singing along right beside her.
Creative and expressive, Brittny had a true talent for editing and animating song videos, which she proudly shared on her YouTube channel. It was just one more way she connected with others and brought her passions to life. She saw the world in color, rhythm, and movement—and she made sure others did too. Brittny also had a strong voice and wasn’t afraid to use it. She followed the news closely and spoke openly about the issues that mattered to her, especially when it came to female equality and women’s rights. She didn’t shy away from politics. She stood firm in her beliefs, always ready to advocate, always ready to be heard.
In quieter moments, she found comfort in true crime stories, often watching shows like Law & Order and SVU, captivated by the mysteries and stories they told. She embraced both the loud, vibrant parts of life and the calm, reflective ones. She was intrigued by how serial killers could be profiled in order to solve crimes, and sat in wonder of how Science could be used to solve such complex problems.
Brittny was preceded in death by her three beloved dogs, CoCo, Ashley and Hailey, who no doubt greeted her in Heaven with joyful barks, kisses, and wagging tails. That reunion alone brings a sense of peace to those who loved her.
Brittny leaves behind her loving mother, Jana Allender of Charlestown; her father, Jim Pace; her sister, Lillion Shawler; her grandparents, JoAnn and Ronald Lynn; an aunt, Cassandra Frost (Tim); her uncle, Andrew Allender; a beloved cousin, Cora; and her most loyal & cherished best friend, Savanna Baker, who had been by her side since the second grade—a bond that time could never break.
Brittny’s life was one of passion, expression, and authenticity. She loved deeply, spoke boldly, and lived unapologetically. Though her time here was far too short, the memories she created—the laughter, the music, the dancing, and the love—will live on in all who knew her.
Brittny Lacianne Pace will be cremated. The family will hold a memorial service at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Legacy Funeral Center; Scott Chapel (921 Main Street), Jeffersonville.
