Brian Adam Kinkton, born January 23, 1984, in Louisville to Sharon Maupin and Daniel Kinkton, passed away on March 9, 2026 in Louisville.
Brian was known by family and friends for his unique passion for sneakers and his meticulous attention to detail. A proud “sneaker head,” he took great pride in restoring and repairing expensive sneakers for others, carefully bringing worn shoes back to life. Through his work and his enthusiasm, he became a familiar face in several local sneaker communities. Brian also loved cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats men's basketball and was an avid fan who rarely missed an opportunity to support his team.
He is survived by his mother, Sharon Maupin (Rickey); his children, Gavin Kinkton, Olivia Raley, Amelia Raley, and Adam Raley; his grandparents, Katie Smith and Ezra Hardin; his uncles, Mike Hardin (Tammy) and Terry Hardin (Janet); his aunt, Barbara Harvey; his nephews, Kameron Neal, and Kenyon Neal; his niece, Merissa Maupin; the mother of his children, Jessica Raley; and his beloved cat, “Funny Face.”
Brian was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Kinkton, and his sisters, Dana Kinkton and Margaret Kinkton.
In keeping with his generous spirit, Brian chose to be an organ donor. Through this selfless decision, he was able to give the gift of life and hope to others, leaving a lasting legacy of compassion and kindness.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation on Saturday, March 21, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Legacy Funeral Center - Nunnelley Chapel. Cremation will follow the service.
Brian will be remembered for his dedication to his craft, his love for his family, and the passion he brought to the things he enjoyed most. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
