Bonnie Jean Sowers-Lugar

Bonnie Jean Sowers-Lugar, 88, of Jeffersonville, IN, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2025, at her home. She was born on August 5, 1936, in Lexington, Kentucky, to the late Fred and Constance Sowers.

Bonnie enjoyed a long and fulfilling career with the Department of Defense, retiring after many years of dedicated service. Bonnie’s love for her family was boundless, and she cherished the time spent with them, especially her grandchildren.

She attended Turkey Foot Christian Church in Sadieville, KY, and found comfort and community in her faith.

She is survived by her son, Jay Dennis; daughters, Rejeana Thompson (Lonnie), Angela Dennis; sisters, Charlene Cheatham, Carlene Perkins; brother, Henry Sowers; along with 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

There will be a Celebration of Life service at the Turkeyfoot Christian Church, 131 Turkeyfoot Rd., Sadieville, KY  40370, Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 11 AM.
