With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we announce the passing of Beverley “Becky” Jean Jackson, who left this world peacefully at her home on September 21, 2025, surrounded by the love that defined her life.
Born on July 29, 1944, in Sellersburg, Indiana, Becky lived her life with joy, laughter, and a deep devotion to her family. A woman of remarkable spirit, she found happiness in the simple pleasures—cooking a warm meal for her loved ones, gardening, singing her heart out at karaoke, dancing like nobody was watching, and enjoying lively evenings at the American Legion in Sellersburg. A proud and lifelong admirer of Oscar De La Hoya, Becky’s feisty, fun-loving nature and enduring warmth will be remembered with smiles and stories for generations to come. Beverley never missed a chance to celebrate life, and she brought light to every room she entered.
Her love for her family was the truest expression of her heart. Becky is survived by her beloved daughter, Dorothy Elaine Jackson Sanders; her dear sister, Diana Verrick; her adored grandchildren, Josh Sanders, Kayla Sexton (Jesse), and Nicole Hoke (Andrew); and her treasured great-grandchildren, Presley, Hunter, Jaydon, Malia, Tristin, Payton, Sawyer and Lauren. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will carry her memory with them always.
She is now reunited in peace with her parents, Grover and Julia DeWeese, her loving husband, Robert Gary Jackson , her son, Robert “Jeff” Jackson and her sisters Katie and Bea. Though she is gone from our sight, her laughter, kindness, and zest for life will echo in the hearts of all who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Legacy Funeral Home, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130. A funeral service in honor of Beverly's life will follow at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
