Barbara Ann Ayers

Barbara Ann Ayers, 73, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away on July 12, 2021 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She was born on November 30, 1947 in Jeffersonville, Indiana daughter of the late Robert William and Constance Virginia (Taylor) Oglesby. Barbara was a wonderful homemaker and a member of St. James Methodist Church in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She enjoyed cooking, baking, going to the casino and especially loved giving away her tomatoes and green peppers to her friends and family.

In addition to her parents Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Mitchell Ayers. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Cornelison and her husband Terry; son, Matthew Ayers; sisters, Linda Williams, Joyce Lewis and her husband Jimmy, Agretta Stikes; brother, Stanley Oglesby and his wife Scheneen; grandson, Cameron Cornelison; sister-in-law, Barbara E. (Ayers) Thompson and her husband Roger of Louisville, Kentucky; brother-in-laws, Wayne D. Ayers of Corydon, Indiana, Charles L. Ayers and his wife Darlene of Sheperdsville, Kentucky; Aunts, S. Juanita Oglesby of Charlestown, Indiana, Mildred Oglesby (Heath) of Cincinnati, Ohio; Uncle, G. Franklin Oglesby of Indianapolis, Indiana; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

There will be a visitation held on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 from 4-8PM at St. James Methodist Church, 3715 Utica Sellersburg Road, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130. Service will be on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at 11AM with visitation from 9 -11 AM at the church. Burial will be at 2:30PM at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Radcliffe, Kentucky.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society and the St. James Methodist Church.
