Arnetta L. Wainscott

Arnetta L. Wainscott, 91, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 15, 1933, in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, to James Disponett and Nina Mae Robinson.

Arnetta retired from Inco Containers in Jeffersonville after many years of dedicated and loyal service. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend who cherished her family deeply, especially her grandchildren. Arnetta had a passion for canning, was an exceptional cook, and found joy in playing games on her phone during her leisure time. Her warmth, kindness, and love will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Arnetta was preceded in death by her 3 children, Joyce Casey, Guy Wainscott Jr., Sylvania Sturgeon, Serena Holliman and 14 siblings.

She is survived by her son, Michael Sturgeon; daughters, Betty Perry, Joshlin Snelling(Jacky), Valorie Casey(Bernie); along with 16 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.

There will be a visitation held on Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 10-1:30pm with service to follow at Legacy funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130. Burial will follow at Eastern Cemetery.
