Anthony Dwayne Skaggs Obituary

Anthony Dwayne “Czilly Cnuccles” Skaggs, 41, of Jeffersonville, passed from this life far too soon on Saturday, May 3, 2025. Though his departure was sudden, the impact he made in the lives of those who knew him will echo forever.

Born with rhythm in his soul and fire in his spirit, Anthony was a rap connoisseur, a true music head whose playlist was a testimony to his passion. Whether blasting beats that shook the walls or quoting lyrics that hit deep, he lived life with the volume turned all the way up. A devoted PlayStation 4 gamer, Anthony claimed the streets of Grand Theft Auto like a legend…strategic, relentless, and always up for the next big score. And when it came to basketball debates? Anthony never wavered, Michael Jordan was, is, and always will be the GOAT. Argue if you dare, but you wouldn’t win.

Anthony’s favorite color was blue—a fitting tribute to a man whose presence brought calm strength, deep loyalty, and true emotion. But above all else, his greatest pride and deepest love were his children. His sons, Cainen, Dayton, and Braxton—were his heartbeat, his reason, and his legacy. His daughters, Chrisann and Cheyenne—held a tender and mighty place in his heart.

He is survived by his loving mother, Jo Ann Skaggs; his sons, Cainen Skaggs (girlfriend, Alexis), Dayton Skaggs, and Braxton Allen-Skaggs; his daughters, Chrisann Hernandez and Cheyenne Hernandez; and his brothers, Timothy Skaggs (Tabitha) and Derek Skaggs; surrogate sons, Dawson and Bradley; and his bonus mom, Kimberly. He also leaves behind his cherished nieces and nephews: E’Leasia, Ambrosia, and Roman; as well as countless other extended family members and friends who were blessed to know his bold laugh, unmatched loyalty, and larger-than-life spirit.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville. A funeral service celebrating Anthony’s life will begin at the conclusion of visiting hours. In accordance with his family’s wishes, cremation will follow.

Though his controller is now at rest and his favorite track has faded into silence, Anthony’s legacy lives on in the music we hear, the memories we carry, and the family he so fiercely loved.

Rest easy, Anthony. You’ll always be player one in our hearts.
