Anthony Lee Calhoun, Jr. 21, was born in Louisville, Kentucky on April 15, 2000 to Robin V. Thompson and the late Anthony Lee Calhoun, Sr. God called him home on Saturday, January 22, 2022.
Anthony or Poo, Poodie or Poodie-man as some would call him, was a very loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. He loved to cook and would often experiment with various recipes.
Anthony was a very fun person; although he was very quiet and stayed to himself. If you were allowed to be in "his world" you were very lucky. He had a type of humor that was dry and often full of sarcasm; but he was hilarious. One day Anthony was late for work and his co-worker had text him to see where he was. He replied "I hit a dog and had to take it to the hospital, but I am on my way!" We all knew Poodie was at home because he overslept.
Anthony was attending school to become a gynecologist. He was dedicated to his education. He was also a employee of White Castle , where he was a manager. He had been employed with them since he was 16 years old. Anthony was full of life and had only begun to live.
He is preceded in death by his father, Anthony Lee Calhoun, Sr.
Those left to cherish his memories are his loving mother, Robin V. Thompson; two sisters, D"Asia Blackburn and Skylar Miller; brother, Nyante Glover; grandparents, Janice Thompson, Yvette Calhoun, Cecil Lucas and Ogen Buckner (Kim); and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Poodie-man will be missed tremendously by those who loved him. He was very special.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 29, 2022 from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Legacy Funeral Center-Schoppenhorst Chapel, 1832 W. Market Street. Funeral service will be immediately following at 1:00 p.m.
