Amie M Garrison

Amie M. Garrison, 46, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 22, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Louisville, Kentucky, Amie was the beloved daughter of Gerry Garrison and the late Teresa Grubbs Daugherty. From a young age, Amie was a symbol of strength and resilience. At just five years old, she became the recipient of a life-saving liver transplant—an extraordinary and pioneering procedure at the time. Her bravery and optimism in the face of such a monumental challenge led her to the White House, where she was recognized during the Reagan Administration. Despite the obstacles she faced, Amie met life with a warm heart and a beautiful smile that touched everyone who knew her.

Amie’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. Her unconditional love and support will be deeply missed but forever remembered. Whether it was a quiet moment at home or a family gathering filled with laughter, Amie’s presence made everything brighter.

When not with her family, Amie found joy at the Bingo Hall, where she was known for her passion for the game and her ability to light up a room. The friendships she made there were cherished, and she found comfort and community among her fellow Bingo enthusiasts.

Survivors include her sons, Shane Kern, Isaiah Davies, Keylan Garrison; father, Gerry Garrison (Carol); brother, Keith Daugherty; grandson, Kingston; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.

Amie’s life was one marked by courage, kindness, and unwavering love. Her family has honored her wish for cremation. A memorial visitation will be held from 12 to 3 p.m. on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street in Jeffersonville. A celebration of her life will follow at 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
