Amarion V. Johnson, a beloved son, friend, and cherished member of the community, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024, in Louisville, Kentucky, at the age of 21. Born with a gentle spirit and a bright mind, Amarion touched the lives of everyone he met with his kindness, intelligence, and generosity. Amarion was a graduate of Iroquois High School, where his academic prowess and friendly nature endeared him to both his peers and teachers. He was known for his warm smile, his willingness to help others, and his ability to make friends effortlessly. To know Amarion was to love him, as he never met a stranger and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. One of Amarion's greatest joys in life was spending time with his friends, whether it was working together or simply hanging out and enjoying each other's company. His positive energy and genuine concern for others made him a treasured companion and confidant to many. Amarion's passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for his loving nature, his infectious laughter, and the countless lives he touched during his time with us. Amarion, your light will continue to shine in our hearts forever.
Amarion was preceded in death by his baby brother, Antoine V, Dixon Jr.; and 2 grandfathers, Mark Smith, and Timothy Shacklett.
Left to cherish his memory, Amarion is survived by his parents, Ta’Qua’Ja Johnson, and Antoine Dixon Sr.; 2 brothers, Quavion Johnson, and Cornelius Bell; sister, Joanna Dixon; uncle, De’Marcus Johnson; auntie, Ebony Dixon; 2 grandmothers, Tonja Blakey, and Tonya Dixon; 2 great-grandmothers, Carolyn Johnson, and Pauline Smith; 3 great-aunts; and a host of extended family and close friends.
A funeral service for Mr. Amarion Johnson will be held at 12 PM on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Legacy Funeral Center – Nunnelley Chapel, 4327 Taylor Blvd., Louisville, Kentucky. Visitation will be held from 10 AM to 12 PM at the funeral home, prior to the service.
