Jerry Wayne Sandlin, 50, of Louisville, KY, passed away on June 26, 2020. He was an avid UofL fan, enjoyed playing games, shooting pool and traveling. Jerry was a very humble man, a jokester and could always put a smile on your face. His family meant the world to him and he loved spending time with his grandson, K’Wuani.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Sandlin and daughter, Kelly Porter.
Jerry leaves to cherish his memories are his wife, Teresa Sandlin; children, Crystal Summit, Whitney Summit, Jayden Dozier and Joshua Cook; 7 grandchildren; god-daughter, Bethany Summit; mother, Phyllis Collett; brothers, Jeremy (Tina) Sandlin, Brian (Helen) Sandlin, Jason Sandlin and Sonny Collett; sisters, Teresa Collett and Joyce Collett; aunt, Bobbie Maddox and his Oak Street family
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 1, 2020, from 3pm-8pm at Neurath & Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, 1832 W. Market Street, Louisville, KY and Thursday, July 2, 2020 from 9am-2pm with a celebration of Jerry’s life beginning at 2pm.
