David G. Hinkebein, 48, passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2021 in Louisville, Kentucky. David was born October 30, 1972 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Edward Hinkebein III and Rebecca Der Ohanian Floyd. David loved music, art, drawing and was a talented tattoo artist. His favorite holiday was Halloween. He always loved decorating his house proudly, showing his Halloween decor. He was a fun-loving guy, with a sweet, kind heart. Whether it was caring for animals, enjoying a meal together, helping a friend move, or enjoying music together, he always loved spending time with his family and friends. David had many trials, and at times his journey was a difficult one, but ultimately he gave his life to Christ, and now rests peacefully.
Left to cherish his memory, David leaves behind his mother, Rebecca Floyd; 2 daughters, Phallicia Joe Hinkebein (f. Michael Bricker) and Jacquilynn Dawn Jackson (Curtis); brother, Jeffery Hinkebein (Hollee) and their daughters, Lauren, Megan, and Olivia; sister, Sarah Rufing (Troy) and their six children, Hannah, Matthew, Sophia, Samuel, Catherine, and Clover; sister, Kimberly Daily (Travis) and their two children, Owen and Amelia; 1 granddaughter, Ridley Dawn Rose Jackson; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly.
The family will be having a Celebration of Life gathering for David later in the spring.
