David Lee Neff, aged 69, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 6, 2024, in Louisville, Kentucky. Born on January 17, 1955, to Joseph and Eleanor Neff in Louisville, David leaves behind a legacy filled with love, laughter, and a deep appreciation for life's simple pleasures. David was known for his infectious sense of humor and his talent for turning even the most challenging moments into opportunities for joy. His love for singing and his fondness for classic country music, especially artists like Johnny Cash and Conway Twitty, were a testament to his vibrant spirit and passion for music. A devoted family man, David cherished his wife Alma and their family above all else. He found immense joy in spending time at home, surrounded by loved ones, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and love. Those who knew David will remember him for his kind heart, unwavering optimism, and ability to find joy in the ordinary. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
David is preceded in death by his loving wife, Alma Neff; parents, Joseph and Eleanor Neff; and 3 siblings, Alice Lathan, Jean Desurne, and Mickey Neff.
Left to cherish his memory, David is survived by his daughter, Alma “Rose” Spaulding (Larry); 2 grandchildren, Autumn Spaulding, and Larry Spaulding III; brother, William “Bill” Neff; many nieces/nephews; and a host of extended family and close friends.
A funeral service for Mr. David Neff will be held at 6 PM on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Legacy Funeral Center – Schoppenhorst Chapel, 1832 W. Market Street, Louisville, Kentucky. Visitation will be held from 11 AM to 6 PM at the funeral home, prior to the service.
