David Allen Maag

David Allen Maag, 66, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away peacefully with family by his side on April 6, 2024 at Hillcrest Village in Jeffersonville, IN. He was born on August 18, 1957 in Alton, Illinois and was the son of Raymond and Marion Maag.

David was a Head Chef and was known for his expertise and dedication to his craft. He was always making delicious culinary creations. He was always very proud of the time he devoted to the troubled youth program, nicknamed “The Wagon Trail”, which was an alternative program for young adolescent boys, instead being sent to jail.

 Outside of the kitchen, he found delight in fishing on the river and cherished the moments he spent walking his faithful companion, Mindy, by the riverside.

Above all, David was a devoted family man whom adored his family and enjoyed precious time with his loved ones, especially his granddaughters.

In addition to his mother, David was preceded in death by his 2 sisters. He is survived by his loving wife, Jeffie Maag; son, Don Dennis; father, Raymond Maag; brother, Steven Maag; along with his 2 granddaughters, Kaylen “Lennie” Dennis, Emily Geahr and a nephew, Roy Settergren and extended family.

There will be a visitation held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 from 2pm to 6pm with service to follow at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130.
